Royal Manor | Eichler Neighborhood Palo Alto

  • In the Palo Verde neighborhood of Palo Alto lies the Eichler neighborhood of Royal Manor. This is one of the largest Eichler tracts in all of Palo Alto with just over 200 Eichler homes. Eichlers can be found on the Palo Verde streets of Kenneth Drive, Thomas Drive, Greer Road, Janice Way, and a portion of Stockton Place and Louis Road. The Royal Manor project was an interesting turn for Eichler and his designers, it showed their ability to adapt and change their style to accommodate a changing customer base. In an attempt to attract more family buyers, Eichler and his team built 4-bed, 3-bath homes with 1,600 square feet. This larger square footage did come at a cost with only a few of these Eichlers having central atriums or courtyards that Eichler was so well known for.  Today Royal Manor is still a beloved Eichler neighborhood with residents who continue to uphold Eichlers ideals of community living. As an older neighborhood, Royal Manor has watched Palo Alto and the greater Silicon Valley transform into the bay area we know today.
